My Brethren, let me first convey my gratitude to Ill. Roger D. Barnett, PGM, 33°, Deputy of the Supreme Council for the Orient of Kentucky, for the faith and confidence he has expressed by appointing me as his Personal Representative for the Valley of Louisville. I look forward to working with and assisting Brother Roger in any way I can. Bonnie and I wish the very best for Roger and Alice in the years ahead.

I also want to say a special “thank you” to Ill. John E. Moyers, PGM, 33°, Past Sovereign Grand Inspector General in Kentucky, and Pauline. These two wonderful people have traveled thousands of miles and spent many hours in service to our Fraternity, particularly the Scottish Rite. We wish for John and Pauline all the blessings God can give and we send the love and gratitude of all the Brothers and Ladies in the Valley of Louisville.

We have so many terrific activities going on in the Valley of Louisville that I just don’t know where to start! Our first fellowship luncheon will be noon, March 4. Our upcoming stated meetings are March 11 and 25 (LEAD PROGRAM) and April 8. Our Extinguishing/Relighting of the Lights will be April 1. Ladies Night will be April 22 (don’t forget to call the office to make reservations). Our one-day Reunion will be in Burkesville on April 24.

In closing, thanks again for your support and prayers. Together, we will continue the tradition of excellence here in the Valley of Louisville. May God bless each of you and your loved ones.

Isn’t it strange how Princes and Kings, and clowns that caper in sawdust rings,

And common people like you and me, are builders for eternity,

Each is given a bag of tools, a shapeless mass, a set of rules,
And each must build ere life is flown a stumbling block or a stepping stone.
