As the newly elected Wise Master of the Louisville Chapter Rose Croix, I bring each of you fraternal greetings and best wishes for the coming year I would like to thank Past Wise Master Jim Sidebottom for a job very well done these past two years; his tireless efforts at the Louisville Scottish Rite in general and at our many funeral services in particular have meant such a great deal to our organization. Thank you Brother Jim!

The Louisville Chapter Rose Croix is looking forward to a great 2009. It has been very encouraging to see so many new faces get involved at the Louisville Scottish over the past year, and we certainly hope to see even more new brothers take an active role in our fraternity this year.

While the names and faces at the Scottish Rite may change from time to time, the message remains the same. The Scottish Rite teaches its truths not through the classroom, nor independent study, but with dramatic flair and splendor. The 29 degrees of the Scottish Rite are for the man who is willing to think; who can form his own opinions after confronting the most profound questions of faith and philosophy, and yet remain tolerant of the opinions of others. In these trying times around the world, the message of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry is more relevant than ever.

If you have not seen the degrees of the Scottish Rite in quite some time, please join us for our Orient One Day Reunion June 6, 2009. If you, or anyone you know, would like any further information, please feel free to send me an email @ kosair@bellsouth.net.
